My Story: Thriving Beyond 50
Early Challenges: Navigating Hardships as a Single Mother
In my 20s and 30s, life presented a series of formidable challenges. After an extremely painful divorce, as a single mother raising two children, I faced significant financial struggles. Balancing a job and various side hustles (cake baking and decorating, selling women's suits and accessories, and event planning), I endeavored to provide for my family, often stretching every dollar to ensure my children had the essentials and some extras. Despite the hardships, I instilled in my children the values of resilience and determination.
A Setback
Also during this period, I encountered a severe financial setback that led to bankruptcy, foreclosure of my home, and car repossession. For a few months, my children and I were homeless and lived with a friend. This experience was humbling and tested my resolve. This time in my life convinced me that what we see as a failure is actually a good thing because the lessons I learned have definitely made me wiser and oh so much stronger!
New Beginning
At the age of 38, I earned a bachelor's degree and started an online membership program for Black women who wanted to start a business.
A Bold Move: Embracing Change After 50
After my children grew up and embarked on their successful careers—one thriving in healthcare insurance and the other making strides in the acting industry, both also embracing entrepreneurship—I found myself at a crossroads. I earned a master's degree which did absolutely nothing to increase my income and I incurred large student loan debt! Also, during this time, both of my parents passed away. At 57, I made the courageous decision to relocate to a new city and invest in my dream home. This move symbolized a fresh start and a commitment to pursuing my passions.
Building a Business: Empowering Women 50+
Drawing from over two decades in side hustle entrepreneurship, education administration and career advising, I recognized a profound need: women over 50 seeking to monetize their extensive knowledge and experience to control their financial destiny and leave a legacy of wealth and empowerment. I channeled my expertise into creating a coaching business dedicated to empowering these women. Through tailored programs - courses, digital products, and direct coaching, I guide them in transforming their wisdom into profitable online ventures, ensuring they overcome technological and psychological barriers. I believe my coaching is unique because I strategically incorporate life coaching appropriate for the 50+ woman into the business coaching. I also offer stand-alone life coaching.

Lauderdale, FL).
